Bucknell has one of the largest varsity programs in the country, with 27 teams competing in the Division I Patriot League. But many more of our students compete in recreational sports through an extensive intramural program. It consists of more than 40 men’s, women’s and co-recreational teams – from basketball and golf to tennis and volleyball. Many students enjoy the friendly competition provided by the 20 student-initiated and student-run club sports, ranging from cycling and rugby to crew and Ultimate Frisbee.
Our athletics facilities, among the finest anywhere, include a state-of-the art fitness center that is open most days from 6 a.m. to midnight as well as an Olympic-class pool and an 18-hole golf course.

M. Swimming. Bucknell Men's Swimmers Nicholson and Treat Compete at Charlotte UltraSwim
Mike Nicholson and Christian Treat, members of the Bucknell men's swimming and diving team, competed at the Charlotte UltraSwim this past weekend at the Mecklenberg County Aquatic Center in Charlotte, N.C. The four-day meet featured many of the best swimmers in the country and Nicholson nearly made headlines as he came close to posting a U.S. Olympic Trials qualifying time in the 400-meter individual medley.
General News. Bucknell Athletics Photo Store to Hold Graduation Sale
Bucknell University's graduation will take place this Sunday and to help commemorate the momentous event, the Bucknell Athletics Photo Store will be having a special graduation sale. W. Basketball. Bucknell Women's Basketball Announces 2012 Summer Camp Dates
Bucknell women's basketball has announced its 2012 summer camp dates. The Bison will be hosting their Elite Camp June 15-16, followed by the Team Shootout on June 17 and the Individual Skills Camp June 17-20. For more information on each of the clinics, please click on the brochure link here.
Rowing. Bucknell Women's Rowing's Lightweight Eight Named Bison Athlete of the Week
For the second time in three weeks, a Bucknell women's rowing boat has been named the Susquehanna Valley Limousine Bison Athlete of the Week. On Monday, the lightweight eight earned the honor, following the varsity eight's citation after winning last month's Patriot League Championship.
