Solar Scholars' Renewable Energy Workshop May 12
The Environmental Center's Campus Greening Initiative supports the Solar Scholars program, which will host a "Renewable Energy Workshop" beginning at 9 a.m. on Sat., May 12, in the Forum of the Elaine Langone Center. Information, which will be presented in a combination of lively presentations and demonstrations, will include the following: how global markets are making renewable energy technologies more affordable; how energy auditing can reduce overall energy demands; how renewable energy technologies can be strategically integrated into a home or business; how community-wide programs are working to make renewable energy more accessible; and how renewable energy demonstration projects can be used in K-12 and college classrooms. Registration is $25 per person and includes lunch.
