The Adventure Starts Here...

Though students may not study abroad for a semester until their junior or senior years, it is never too early to begin researching off-campus study. Below are links that will guide students through the process of applying for off-campus study.

Students interested in off-campus study must watch the Introduction to Study Abroad Video and Complete the Intent to Study Abroad Quiz to get a basic understanding of the off-campus study process.  Students should also consult with their Academic Advisor to see how an off-campus experience would complement their academic plan of study.

  • Eligibility and Deciding where to go
    It is never too early to begin planning your off-campus study experience. Interested students should attend a General Advising Information Session to get a basic idea of the off-campus study process and consult with their Academic Advisor.
  • Important Deadlines
    A list of deadlines for all application materials.
  • Applying to Bucknell-in Programs
    Each "Bucknell in" Program has a custom application.
  • Applying to a Bucknell Approved Program

    Students Interested in studying abroad with a third party provider must complete two applications and be approved to study abroad by Bucknell University and the provider.

  • Applying to Summer Programs
    Information about Bucknell "in" programs, which are led by Bucknell University faculty, and non-Bucknell programs managed my third-party providers outside the University.
