In addition to these special programs and departmental resources, Bucknell supports several ongoing initiatives which often support or relate to student faculty research collaborations, internships, or symposia over the summer or during the academic year:
- Small Business Development Center (SBDC)
- Institute for Leadership and Technology Management
- Sigma Xi Summer Research Symposium
- Honors Program
The University also provides a free dormitory room to any student participating in research during the summer. Several departments have ongoing seminar series in which students interact with faculty and visiting scholars and also present the progress and results of their own research. The University has student chapters of the most notable professional and honor societies in the sciences and engineering.
