Biology Department Summer Research
Program Overview
The biology department consists of 17 faculty members and graduates approximately 100 students per year.
Over the last decade the department has received $1,976,892 for educational, research, and instrumentation grants. A total of 936 students have taken the Biology 399 course, undergraduate research. Since 1992, approximately 24 undergraduate students have participated in summer research annually. In the last decade 76 papers were co-authored with undergraduates.
