"After all was said and done, Bucknell presented more options for a well-rounded education."

Accounting: Malvern, Pa.

Why Bucknell?

"I wanted to go to a school that had a good reputation for a business program and a school where I could participate in Division I athletics. I am a wrestler and that was a big influence in my decision to come to Bucknell. I was initially recruited and after my overnight on campus my decision to come to Bucknell was very easy. Bucknell also offered me a great scholarship through my accounting major. After all was said and done, Bucknell presented more options for a well-rounded education."

My Major

"I had taken some accounting classes in high school. I have also always been interested in business, the stock market and finance.  I figured that although I may not necessarily want to be an accountant, an accounting major could open many doors for me in the business world.

"In addition, mathematics, science and numbers are areas where I have excelled, which made having accounting as my major a logical choice.

"Even though I am majoring in accounting, I have also been able to take many economics courses and now I am planning on minoring in economics. I may also minor in East Asian Studies. My interest in East Asia was sparked by a class I took as a first-year student."

My Activities

"The biggest activity that I do is being a Division I athlete on the wrestling team. We practice many hours a day and, during the season, we practice six days a week. I believe that Division I sports really helps you to manage your time better and teaches you how to be more responsible with your work.

"Besides wrestling, I try to be involved in other things on campus like the Accounting Club.

"Also, I try to go hear a lot of the great speakers that Bucknell brings to campus such as (former South African president and Nobel Peace Prize winner) F.W. de Klerk and (CNBC's Mad Money host) Jim Cramer."
