Why use the Bison Laptop program?
When looking at a potential laptop, look at the whole picture, not just the lowest cost or the glossiest ad. Our Dell laptops offer Dell's Complete Care and full technical support, as well as solid business-level hardware and specifications that will work for you over the long haul. Macs have long been known for their ease of use and resistance to spyware and viruses.
In addition, we can offer a much higher level of support for Dells and Macs in the Bison Laptop program. For the Dells in our program, we can reinstall our image if necessary, provide warranty support, and order parts as needed - we can't do any of this for you if you decide to purchase a PC from outside of the Bison Laptop program. For Macs, we provide warranty support, loaner laptops, and some degree of hardware support.
Bucknell's Bison Laptop program offers all of this for your four years here. We're proud to say that Bucknell's laptop program is one of the most complete programs among all of its peer institutions!
Note: Faculty/Staff purchases through the Bison Laptop Program are covered for support only during the summer months. We do not service personal computers for faculty/staff during the academic year.

Note: we recommend that you wait until next spring to purchase your laptop - Apple will have new models and new promotions.
Dells
Note: we have taken our laptop models offline as we begin preparation for the Fall 2012 year.
