Pierre Joanis, Vice President for Human Resources
As vice president for human resources, Pierre plays a pivotal strategic role in positioning the University as a higher-education employer of choice and in helping Bucknell achieve its long-term strategic initiatives. He provides inspirational leadership to a professional human resources staff responsible for supporting and partnering with University leadership in creating a positive and dynamic work environment. The vice president of human resources is a University-wide leader serving the Bucknell community and promoting an inclusive and rewarding environment for the recruitment and retention of a highly educated, accomplished, productive and satisfied work force.
Nancy Foster, Executive Assistant
Nancy provides high-level support to the Vice President of Human Resources with an emphasis on project management, office administration and communications. Her duties and responsibilities include staffing and management of the HR reception desk, prioritization of walk-in requests, and ensuring that all visitors are treated with high levels of service and professionalism.
Cindy Bilger, Director of HRIS and Benefits
Cindy leads the internal team supporting the design, development and delivery of HRIS systems and the University's employee benefit programs, including wellness efforts. She works in partnership with leaders in Information Technology, Finance and Academic areas to collect, maintain and analyze data in support of departmental, division and University goals. She leads Benefits planning designed to help the University recruit and retain a diverse faculty and staff. Cindy supervises the Benefits and HRIS staff; she reports to the Vice President for Human Resources.
Marcia Cooney, Director for HR Services
Marcia leads the Employment Services team including recruitment, compensation, employee relations, and learning/organizational development. She works in partnership with HR team along with leaders, faculty and staff throughout the University to explore and implement best practices in these areas focusing on strategic indicators of success, with the goal of attracting, hiring and retaining a talented, productive and satisfied diverse faculty and staff.
Kelley Adams-Verge, Benefit and Wellness Manager
Kelley manages the health, dental, vision, life and disability plans; the flexible spending account benefit; and the TIAA-CREF and Hartford retirement plans. She participates in benefit plan design and is the administrator for Benefits U. Kelley conducts leave counseling and exit interviews as individuals transition into retirement or to other organizations. She also leads the University's wellness initiative for faculty and staff.
Lisa Adams-Verge, Training & Organizational Development Manager
Lisa provides strategic organizational development consulting to help leaders create and maintain effective teams, and build leadership capability throughout Bucknell. She designs, develops and implements supervisory and general training sessions to expand employee's skills and increase effectiveness across the organization. Lisa also manages the University's performance management program and provides ongoing coaching to supervisors as well as individual contributors.
Don Kuhn, HRIS Manager
Amy S. Britton, Compensation Manager
Amy is responsible for the development, implementation and administration of the University’s staff compensation-related policies, procedures and programs. She establishes competitive benchmarks for individual positions. Amy works closely with members of the Employment Services team and Hiring Managers to establish competitive, fair and appropriate pay rates. She conducts staff position evaluations, compensation analyses and FLSA classifications. She also leads the administration of the annual staff merit process.
Brandy Collins, Recruitment Consultant
As a member of the Employment Services team, Brandy provides comprehensive consultation services to an assigned portfolio of University divisions/departments in an effort to develop deliberate and thoughtful approaches for talent acquisition. She serves as a subject matter expert for recruiting and hiring systems, policies and processes, and provides a balance of high-level direction and guidance as well as detailed tactical responsibilities to help attract, recruit, and retain the best talent. She develops strategic partnerships with divisions/departments across campus to allow active, collaborative engagement in all aspects of the talent management process.
Kelly Dinan, Recruitment Consultant

Amanda Fanning, Human Resources Generalist
As a Generalist, Amanda provides strategic assistance and guidance to many HR functions. Amanda assists in the investigation and resolution of employee relations issues supporting employees, managers and the University. She is responsible for FMLA administration and other leaves of absence, helps to ensure compliance with federal, state and other regulations and assists in the development and interpretation of HR policies and procedures. She collaborates with other members of the employment services team for performance management, learning and organizational development, recruitment and compensation.
Danielle Kraus, Benefits Specialist
Danielle manages COBRA, and assists with the health, dental, vision and life insurance plans, as well as new faculty and staff orientations. She administers the University's Workers' Compensation and tuition benefit programs.
Martha Haas, HRIS Specialist
As an HRIS Specialist, Martha establishes and maintains employee data including payroll deductions, direct deposits, campus and personal directory information and job details.
