Param Bedi joined Bucknell in January 2008 as the University's Chief Information Officer. He leads a 100-person organization of library and information technology professionals, and oversees the management of the library, its collections, and access to scholarly resources; campus computing; telecommunications; administrative and academic computing and instructional technology; classroom and event support; and network and technology infrastructure.
Param is responsible for Library and Information Technology strategic and operational planning, organizational management and development, and financial budgeting and control. He provides leadership and strategic vision for a comprehensive information environment that supports and enhances student learning, faculty teaching and scholarship, and the university's mission and overall operations.
Prior to joining Bucknell University, Param served as vice president for Technology and Library and chief information officer at Arcadia University in Glenside, Pa., near Philadelphia since 1999. At Arcadia, he also taught courses in finance, management information systems, math, and educational technology as an adjunct faculty member since 1992.
Param received his MBA in finance, and M.S. in management information systems from Temple University. He also has a bachelor's degree in commerce (accounting and economics) from the University of Delhi in India.
