Students can expect close student-faculty interaction in the classroom as well as opportunities for independent research projects. A heavy lab component provides hands-on experience and provides valuable links between theory and practice. Upper-level design students work on real projects proposed by clients in industry or non-profit sectors. Many student-enriching experiences are supported in part by contributions from alumni, parents and friends. The curriculum also provides students with study abroad opportunities, preparation for graduate study, specialized technical tracks or premedical training.
