Student research is one of the highlights of the Cell Biology/ Biochemistry program at the University. Each semester and during the summer students engage in research that puts theory into practice. As a natural extension of the classroom, faculty and student researchers work hand-in-hand tackling research topics at the forefront of cell biology, molecular biology, organic, analytical or biochemistry.
Students have an option of doing research for credit during the academic year and/or summer or participating in a paid summer research program. In many cases research projects started during the summer are extended into the academic year. Many students have presented their results at scientific meetings or published in prestigious peer reviewed journals.
Further information can be found at the University page on undergraduate research or by contacting the individual faculty members for information specific to their research.
