Office of the Chaplains and Religious Life
![]() |
The Office of the Chaplains and Religious Life at Bucknell University exists to support all members of the university community as they strive to be educators, scholars, and agents of change within Bucknell's gates, and beyond. The University Chaplain, associated Chaplains and Religious Advisors work to provide forums and safe spaces where life's hard questions can be asked and debated. The work of the office is centered in Rooke Chapel, which stands at the entrance to campus, symbolizing the inherent connection of the mind and spirit. But religious life work is not limited to one building, or religious tradition. Three faith-related houses on St. George Street, a Muslim Prayer Room in the Gateway Residential Complex and diverse spiritual communities that meet in the Rooke Meditation Chapel offer a glimpse of the vibrant religious and spiritual traditions present at Bucknell. Whether you are an adherent of Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Hindu or Buddhist traditions, or claim no religious affiliation or belief, there is a place for you in the Religious Life program at Bucknell University. Click the links on this page to explore further the opportunities that are available to all who seek to strengthen their religious or spiritual lives, while striving for academic excellence at a university founded long ago by Northern Baptists, who advocated and encouraged the unfettered exploration of the avenues of the mind and spirit.
Whatever your tradition, you are invited to visit the Office of Religious Life in the Rooke Chapel Annex, and we will help you find a place where you feel that you belong. There is a place for you here!
