The mission of the Craft Center is to promote creative opportunities for Bucknell students, faculty, and staff by providing a range of art and craft related programming throughout the academic year.
The Craft Center encourages student organizations to arrange creative group projects using its facilities.
The Craft Center encourages faculty members to make use of the studio workspace, facilities and materials to enhance their academic programming with related art activities.
For those interested in learning a new craft or acquainting themselves with the Craft Center tools and equipment, we recommend attending one of our scheduled workshops or classes.

A joint program by the Craft Center and the Office of Civic Engagement, Empty Bowls raises money for local food programs that assist the needy.
A simple meal of soup and bread in served in bowls that have been handcrafted and glazed by students and local potters.
The Craft Center offers many opportunities for students to participate in community service projects. Two long standing programs are the Bison Blanket Project and the Empty Bowls Project, both of which are associated with national non-profit organizations.
