Mission

The mission of the Office of Institutional Research and Planning is to advance the Bucknell University's goal of providing a unique experience where liberal arts and professional programs complement each other by providing comprehensive information and analyses to support:

• institutional planning
• policy formation
• decision-making
• evaluation of effectiveness

Function

• produces educational and organizational studies, reports, and summaries
• develops and maintains a cycle of regular institutional studies, surveys, reports, and summaries
• serves as a reliable source for comprehensive, accurate and consistent information about the institution to internal and external agencies
• provides support for systematic University-wide participation in assessment, planning, implementation and reporting
• supports institutional accreditation activities
