Jazz saxophonist Donny McCaslin started playing tenor saxophone at age twelve, and quickly progressed, touring Europe, and participating in the prestigious Monterey Jazz Festival’s California All-Star band while in high school. The Department of Music presents VOICE DAY; an entire day of workshops, masterclasses, and presentations for student singers and their teachers. Presenters include Lisa Forkish, Emily Martin-Moberley, and Deric Rosenblatt and include subjects like vocal health, a cappella singing, and effective singing for the musical theatre stage. Saturday, November 15, 2014, 8am to 4pm Rooke Recital Hall in the Weis Music Building (and other venues around Bucknell’s campus) Free and open to the public; however, registration is required.
