LEWISBURG, Pa. — From researching European immigration policy development to solving environmental problems, Bucknell University's newest full professors are experts across the arts and sciences.
In newly posted profiles, the seven recently promoted faculty members talk about what led them to pursue their fields and what inspires them as teacher-scholars. They were promoted to full professor status -- the highest form of recognition in their profession -- after intensive reviews by their academic colleagues and approval by the Board of Trustees last April.
"The University is grateful for the incredible energy and focus these faculty members have brought to their work in shaping the lives of our students," said Provost Mick Smyer. "Their best efforts affect the lives of our students in profound ways. Their students will not forget the difference our faculty have made."
