The Advocates are trained members of the Bucknell community whose primary responsibility is to provide confidential information and support for students regarding the medical, academic and legal options or needs they may have following a sexual assault. With a focus on empowering the survivor to make his or her own decisions, the Advocates help to facilitate referrals, accompany survivors to medical treatment, answer questions about legal and judicial options, and help to ensure appropriate follow-up and support. They also assist survivors in connecting with resources that can help minimize the impact an assault may have on a student's academic career.

On call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week

The Advocates are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to help students connect with helpful resources both on and off campus. If you or a friend would like to speak with an Advocate, call: 570.850.6115 (cell phone).

Talking to a Bucknell Advocate is not the same as filing an official report with the University or local authorities. If you wish to do so, please contact the Title IX Coordinator, Bucknell Public Safety, or local police.
