The media communications team promotes Bucknell in the local, regional and national media, as well as a variety of social media channels. We work closely with students, faculty and staff to research and build news stories and related content for Bucknell's website. We also help to promote hundreds of events on and around campus that are open to the public.

We are involved in:

  • Developing news releases
  • Creating and managing homepage news content
  • Social media consulting
  • Sharing regular updates on Bucknell media placements (Bucknell in the News)
  • Promoting student and faculty achievements, including to student hometowns and via monthly e-newsletters to alumni and parents
  • Handling media requests
  • Connecting faculty experts with media outlets
  • Providing media and interview training
  • Supporting crisis communication
