Radical political economy, African economic development, economic history, history of economic thought, and comparitive economic systems and pedagogy.
Professor Schneider recently published new editions of two textbooks, Economics: A Tool for Critically Understanding Society (with Jean Shackelford, Steve Stamos, and Tom Riddell), and Introduction to Political Economy (with Charles Sackrey and Janet Knoedler). His current research projects include papers on comparative institutional advantage and economic systems. He was recently selected as the recipient of the Class of 1956 Lectureship Award for Inspirational Teaching.
