All international candidates should apply using the Common Application. Bucknell requires all students who apply to pay our $40 application fee or request a fee waiver, through the Common Application site.
An official copy of your high school transcript, translated into English, must be submitted if you attend an international school. The Mid-year Report and/or copy of your updated transcript should arrive by January 15 for evaluation. If your mid-year grades are unavailable by January 15, please ask your school counselor or school official to forward your report to us as soon as it becomes available. If your school does not issue mid-year grade reports, your mid-year report will not need to be submitted. Electronic submission of transcripts is preferred. If English is not your native language you are required to take the TOEFL or IELTS. The minimum required TOEFL score is 600 on the paper-based exam (PBT) or 100 on the Internet-based exam (iBT). The minimum required IELTS score is 7.

The TOEFL requirement can be waived under certain circumstances, by permission. To request a TOEFL waiver, please ask your school counselor or a school official to send a written request to email@example.com
Two personal recommendations are required, including one teacher recommendation and one school counselor recommendation typed in English. If you do not have a school counselor, we would prefer a recommendation from the principal or head of your school.
If you are not applying for financial aid you must submit the Confidential Statement of Finances (PDF) and certified original bank statements. Please understand that due to limited funding, students who did not receive aid in the first year cannot be offered aid in subsequent years.
If you are applying for financial aid, you must submit the International Student Financial Aid Application (PDF) and documentation to verify parental income information, which may include bank statements (certified originals), or tax forms, or a statement from an employer.

The CSS Profile is not required for international students.
