First Night is held each January as a celebration for each first-year class to mark the successful completion of their first semester and the beginning of their life-long journey as Bucknellians. We meet with students on their residence halls to explain the symbolism behind the night, define the role of the BUAA, build excitement about what it means to be a Bucknell alum, and make a personal connection prior to celebrating First Night together in Rooke Chapel.
Sophomore Career Options & Opportunities Brunch: Co-hosted by the Career Development Center and the Bucknell University Alumni Association, sophomores build relationships with alumni who are eager to help them think about their career goals included summer jobs/internships as well post-Bucknell opportunities and goals.
BUAA board members return to campus in January and work with the Career Development Center to engage with juniors in Mock Interviews. It is a time to test the "waters", get questions answered, and add polish as needed.
This widely attended event provides a chance for seniors to gather as a class one last time before Commencement marking the end of their tenure at Bucknell. It is the opportune time to make a gift to the Senior Gift Drive, but more importantly, for the BUAA to engage with the students one last time prior to leaving campus.
