Awarded to an alumnus or alumna whose professional accomplishments and achievements are exceptionally noteworthy and distinctive in his/her profession.

Majoring in the Latin Philosophical Course as an undergraduate, Harry Warfel was a member of Delta Sigma fraternity. Active with Cap and Dagger and the Reading-Bucknell Club, he also was deeply involved with music clubs and the college band, plus serving as orchestral leader. He participated in various oratorical contests at the university, plus worked on many class committees.

In the midst of World War I, he was a member of the 49th Training Battery of the U.S. Army, having gone with numerous classmates in 1918 to Camp Zachary Taylor in Louisville, Ky.
