While earning a degree in art history, Jamey Bennett was a member of Delta Upsilon fraternity and the men's crew team.
After graduation, he took a job with The Center for Entrepreneurial Studies and Development, igniting his entrepreneurial spirit. Exploring how digital technology would apply to the production side of printing, he envisioned great potential for the internet and moved to the threshold of becoming a quintessential entrepreneur with multiple success stories.
In 1994, he conceived and launched BookWire, one of the first vertical B2B websites. In 1996, he co-founded Lending Tree Inc., which has become a leader in the consumer-lending marketplace. His latest start-up company, LightWedge, also carries unlimited potential for success.
He is a member of the Bucknell Board of Trustees, president of the Bucknell Club of Nantucket (Mass.), active in admissions recruiting, and a member of his class committee.
