The goal of the BOF Program is to help with students' transition to their Bucknell life. Transitioning to college can be challenging, with newfound freedom, a new community, and a new culture to adapt to. The BOF Program is constructed in a way that helps students to address these challenges through leadership and service, ultimately creating a first-year student community that is a unique resource to students as they begin their Bucknell journeys. Your experience in the program will provide you with the resources to become better connected to University life through involvement both on and off campus. Ultimately, this experience can be the foundation you need to make the most of your time at Bucknell!
Applications will be available once you have received your BUID, email, and password, which are typically mailed the first week in May. Applications are due on June 15th, and students will be notified of their acceptance into the program no later than the first of July. Please be thoughtful and creative in your responses, and be sure to mention what you hope to gain from this experience! Please note that you will be required to submit payment with your application, either via mailed check or electronic banking. If you are paying electronically, you will need your bank routing and account numbers before you submit. All payments to those not selected will be promptly returned.
