What is BOF?

Building on Foundations (BOF) is a pre-orientation program designed to introduce students to life at Bucknell while making new friends.

Open to 56 first-year students, this four-day action-packed experience at our nearby Cowan Retreat Center includes teambuilding activities, community service projects and the opportunity to gain a social network of classmates, upperclassmen, and faculty & staff members.

Whether you were an involved student in high school or you are looking to get involved at Bucknell, BOF will open a world of possibilities and prepare you for your new life as a Bucknellian!

Why Should I Go?

BOF is led by students dedicated to making the first year at Bucknell a success for our incoming students! This four-day program provides you with an experience that will build friendships, provide personal development, and create a smooth transition to life as a college student.

Apply to participate in BOF and start the year off with over 60 new friends and network of support before the school year event begins.
