GenerationFirst!@Bucknell welcomes first generation college students*. First generation students and their families are encouraged to attend this session to connect with faculty and staff who were also first generation college students. Learn a bit about what it is like to be Generation First!@ Bucknell. Meet others who share your experiences, want to connect with you and can serve as mentors and resources throughout your college experience. *You are a first generation college student if you and/or your siblings will be the first generation in your family to graduate from a four-year college.

You and your family are invited to meet the Writing Center staff.  The Center is a free resource available to all students.  Come learn about one-on-one writing consultations, workshops, oral communication practice sessions and other writing-related resources.

Learn about checking accounts from local banks, subscribe to The Bucknellian (the student newspaper), and get your questions answered by representatives from Counseling and Student Development, Bucknell Student Health, Public Safety, Bucknell Dining, Library and Information Technology, and Card Services and Student Transit.

You and your family are invited to drop by the Berelson Center (Jewish), Rooke Chapel (Protestant and Interfaith) and the Newman House (Roman Catholic) along St. George Street (just north of Smith Hall, across from Financial Aid) to meet Bucknell's chaplains, their staff and students from University religious programs.

This is an opportunity to interact and connect with other students, faculty and staff while gaining insights about the resources available from the Office of Multicultural Student Services, International Student Services, LGBTQ Resources and the Women's Resource Center. These offices are open and welcoming to all students.

Matriculation Ceremony

This ceremony officially marks the entrance of the Class of 2018 into the Bucknell community. You will receive your class pin and process along a pathway lighted by luminaria through the Christy Mathewson Gateway to symbolize your entrance into the University.

9 - 10 p.m.
Playfair
Christy Mathewson-Memorial Stadium

Meet your new classmates through the largest team-building exercise you've ever seen.
