There is no pre-medical major at Bucknell University. You may major in any field of study that you choose as long as you also complete the 12 required pre-requisite courses for medical school listed below.
Other Classes that are not required but often recommended include biochemistry, cell biology, anatomy and physiology
To apply to Medical School all you need are these 12 courses. However, you need to have finished your biology, chemistry and physics courses before you take the MCAT exam. Please advise both your Academic adviser and Pre-health adviser when planning your course schedule in order to ensure that you will meet both your major requirements and pre-health requirements before your projected graduation date.
Below are links to Academic Departments which list the required courses for the major. Common majors include biology, neuroscience, chemistry, and biomedical engineering; however, you may choose to major in mathematics, physics, humanities etc. if you choose to do so.
