Integrative Perspective Courses
We are open to collaborative courses that meld the resources of the Place Studies Initiative with the ideas and skills of Bucknell faculty. Please contact Brandn Green if you are interested in meeting to discuss development of an IP course.

The Place Studies Initiative often collaborates with the Bucknell Institute for Public Policy, the Residential Colleges, and the Campus Greening Initiative.
PSI has one intern per academic year. In addition to this position we have had interns work for us who have been enrolled in SOCI 321, who have applied for and received funding through BPIP as well as through the McKenna Fund. We have two types of interns: research interns and work study interns.
Students come to work with PSI through a few main pathways - faculty recommendations, course projects which evolve into independent projects and through student references. Recent project spotlights: Harrison Mills, Matt McAnear and Erica Rubino.
Collaborate with Us
A central goal of PSI is to function as a portal for community leaders seeking access to the data management abilities of academic practitioners and Bucknell students.
If you have a project in mind, regardless of how nascent the idea might be, please send us an email and the coordinator will respond. We will develop a research plan to address the specific sets of questions you have.
Much of this work will incorporate student labor, so you will need to be willing to accept the vagaries of class-based instruction. This is not to say that projects must be small, in fact, we prefer projects that we can collaborate on which are large enough to incorporate waves of student researchers.
