Coursework ranges from the traditional fields of electricity and magnetism and quantum mechanics to astrophysics, biophysics, nonlinear dynamics and cosmology. Physics majors may concentrate in any of these subfields.
Astronomy is integrated into the physics curriculum - it's not a separate degree program -- and is accessible to majors and non-majors alike. In addition to courses, the Astronomy Program offers opportunities teaching and research in the field.
Please see the Physics section of the Bucknell University catalog for complete information about major and minor requirements.
