In order to be eligible to join a Panhellenic sorority, a Potential New Member (PNM) must meet the following criteria:
(This GPA requirement was initiated and adopted by the Interfraternity and Panhellenic Councils in the spring of 2011. Please note that an individual sorority's national GPA requirements may be higher than a 2.5.)
Sorority 101 is a program designed to help PNMs understand the Recruitment process, as well as what it is like to be a sorority woman at Bucknell. The program is hosted in the spring semester and consists of four sessions, including topics related to the recruitment process, an introduction to the chapters, and conversations around gender and fraternalism. Women who intend to participate in Recruitment must attend all four sessions. (If you are a transfer student or completed Sorority 101 in spring 2014 or 2015, please contact the Panhellenic Recruitment Chair, Rachel McGoff, at email@example.com.
Upon completion of Sorority 101, PNM's are given directions on how to register for Recruitment. Registration includes the completion of an online form and payment of a $45 registration fee. PNM's must complete registration and payment in early August. Late registrations will be subject to a $10 late fee.
Women who do not meet all of the listed criteria will not be permitted to participate in Recruitment.
