All electrical and computer engineering laboratories are accessible for undergraduate use 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week when they are not being used by scheduled classes.

You’ve got the power — the power to innovate, design and evaluate. In this program, we will challenge you to develop your critical thinking skills and learn about your work’s larger place in society.

Career options include robotics, digital and computer technology, consumer electronics, automotive electronics, power generation and transmission, information systems, communications hardware, audio, visual and digital signal processing and many more opportunities.

Did You Know?

Five-year programs lead to a dual degree in engineering and management, B.A. combined with a B.S.E.E., and a B.S. and M.S.E.E.

Computer engineering students complete a major design project in their senior year. Students gain formal design experience that integrates and applies basic computer engineering to the process of system design and implementation.

Students become part of a small department that emphasizes close interaction between students and faculty.

Most core courses and many elective courses have weekly laboratory sessions that provide hands-on learning experiences.

Study Abroad

The College of Engineering has recently created new Bucknell faculty-led study abroad opportunities for engineering students. These programs have taken students to England, Argentina, Switzerland, Germany, France, Sweden, Norway and Denmark.


Undergraduate Research

Students are encouraged to participate in research opportunities with faculty mentors. Students can develop their own research projects under the guidance of a faculty mentor, or they can assist a faculty member with his or her scholarly work.


Computer Engineering Internships

Recent students have secured internships with:

  • Lockheed Martin
  • General Electric
  • Raytheon
  • IBM
  • Federal Aviation Administration


Electrical Engineering Internships

Students can gain hands-on and career experience through summer internships. Recently, students have interned at Allegheny Power, BAE Systems, First Solar, General Electric, IBM, Johnson & Johnson, JPMorgan Chase, Lockheed Martin, NASA, National Institute of Standards and Technology, National Security Agency, Northrop Grumman, PPL, Raytheon, and SAIC.
