Eliminating Irrigation

Because native plants have adapted to the local climate, they will thrive without the need for supplemental water, thus reducing the use of potable water.

Water use reduction is a regional environmental priority. The use of native plant species is one design feature that meets this goal by eliminating the need for the use of potable water for irrigation.
