Scholarships help bring outstanding students of all backgrounds to Bucknell, adding depth, talent and richness to the campus community. Each year, the University holds a Scholarship Day Celebration with events to thank donors of endowed and named annual scholarships.

More than 400 scholarship recipients and donors gathered at Sojka Pavilion on March 28 to celebrate their special friendships at the 26th annual Scholarship Luncheon. Guests heard remarks from President John Bravman, scholarship recipient Rebecca Fritsch '15, and scholarship donors Laureen Leptinsky Costa '90 and Michael Costa '91, M'96.

New scholarship funds raised during Bucknell's last campaign dramatically increased the percentage of scholarship recipients from 35 percent of undergraduates to almost 50 percent. During this academic year, about 52 percent of undergraduate students receive a total of nearly $49 million in institutional aid.

Scholarship support is the highest goal of the WE DO Campaign, which aims to raise $150 million in endowed scholarships and financial aid for deserving, well-qualified students.
