LEWISBURG, Pa. — The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Bucknell University will host the workshop, "QuickBooks Tips and Tricks," Tuesday, Dec. 3, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the SBDC Business Education Center in the DeWitt Building in Lewisburg.
Diana Dorman-Patton, a seminar instructor and small business QuickBooks consultant with more than 20 years' QuickBooks training experience, will lead the workshop. An independent consultant to small business clients, she trained under Real World Training for QuickBooks and is a Certified QuickBooks Pro instructor.
Topics to be discussed include: data file size and troubleshooting slow performance; backing up and creating portable company files; using your computer's keyboard for commands; reminders, to do lists, QuickBooks calendar, group reporting, and customers/jobs; understanding the preference menus; closing dates; setting up loan manager; checks not cleared and how to void checks; troubleshooting bank reconciliations; document center and attachments; importing from Excel and updating files.
