Dr. Brian Schurr earned his Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from Marywood University in 2012.

Brian has worked in a variety of clinical settings including college counseling centers, outpatient mental health clinics, and an outpatient substance abuse treatment facility. He has worked with a variety of presenting concerns including depression, anxiety, identity issues, and substance abuse concerns. Brian believes that in order for change to occur, a person must feel respected and understood within the therapeutic relationship. He works to create a safe and trusting environment where students can feel free to explore their areas of concern. Brian integrates a variety of counseling techniques into his work including exploration of interpersonal relationships, an examination of one's patterns of thinking and feeling, and an assessment of one's strengths.

Brian's goal is to help students make meaningful changes so that their Bucknell experience can be both rewarding and successful.
