Marina is a licensed psychologist and holds a Ph.D. from Western Michigan University.

Marina's personal philosophy is that of "Tikkun Olam," the Hebrew term for repairing the world through acts of kindness and by bearing responsibility not only for one's own welfare, but that of society at large.

Marina's approach to therapy is motivated by the drive to create social justice. Her professional interests include multicultural and LGBTQ issues, identity formation, and traumatic experiences. In therapy, Marina strives to incorporate social factors, such as race, class, culture, and gender, to explore the power struggles and other issues that develop as a result of these factors, as well as how they relate to the relationships in a person's life. She is originally from Ukraine and fluent in Russian and Hebrew.
