Bucknell en España

Bucknell en España is an exciting study abroad program for students who seek a high quality academic and residential experience in Spain. Each semester a Bucknell faculty member leads a group of students to Granada, where they live with a host family selected for them. The program is affiliated with the Universidad de Granada and its Centro de Lenguas Modernas, where students enroll in courses from a variety of disciplines. Very advanced students planning to spend the entire academic year or the spring semester may enroll directly in a course at the Universidad de Granada to complement their studies at the CLM.


Bucknell en France

Founded in 1987, Bucknell en France provides a unique opportunity for all Bucknell students, regardless of major, to enrich their Bucknell education by studying in France for a year or a semester.The program is located in Tours, a prosperous and culturally rich city of 280,000 people situated in the very heart of France, 150 miles southwest of Paris in the Loire Valley. It is administered by the Bucknell University French faculty in cooperation with the Université François Rabelais in Tours.


Bucknell in Denmark

PSYC 337: Child Development in Denmark. The program will be based in Copenhagen. The program focus will be a comparative analysis of child development in Denmark and the United States. We will focus on the contexts of the family and education as well as surrounding cultural issues (e.g., history, ideology, economics, government) that influence child development.

UNIV 200/MUSC 350: New Orleans in Twelve Movements. There is no other American city that is so emblematic of our country's history and spirit, but at the same time so marginalized and neglected, so economically depressed and environmentally degraded.


Bucknell in Nicaragua

GEOG 237: Grass Roots Development. Based in Nueva Vida at the Center for Development in Central America, a non-government organization. The group will focus on development problems and how local communities struggle to define and achieve their own goals.


Bucknell in Northern Ireland

GEOG/PSYC 330: Conflict and Peace in Northern Ireland. Bucknell in Northern Ireland is a a three-week study abroad program in Derry/Londonderry, Northern Ireland studying conflict and peace in Northern Ireland. This program is offered in cooperation with the Holywell Consultancy, a peace-oriented organization in Northern Ireland, and Magee College, the Derry campus of the University of Ulster. In this community-based learning program, students are placed with community partners to conduct research and insight into the history and future of the peace process.


Bucknell in South Africa

MGMT 270/WMST 275: Efforts to Overcome the Legacy of Apartheid Through Social Entrepreneurship and Community Development. The program will take place in Cape Town, South Africa, focusing on efforts to overcome the legacy of apartheid through social entrepreneurship, social business, and community development, with particular analytical and topical attention paid to gender and sexuality.

Bucknell Student Health (BSH) provides confidential care right on campus. We offer a wide range of on-site care by appointment or walk-in to get students back on their feet fast and help them meet their health goals. Services include treatment for routine illnesses and injuries, gynecology visits, drug and alcohol counseling, travel medicine, and campus outreach and education.

The Bucknell Wilderness Experience (BuckWild) is a dynamic outdoor pre-orientation program.Participating in BuckWild is a great way to face the challenges of transitioning into the university. You will meet your new classmates, learn more about yourself, build relationships from upper class peer mentors, and have a whole lot of fun! We have several trip options to choose from including Service based expeditions, multi-element expeditions, backpacking, rock climbing, caving, paddling, and more!!
