Physics is the fundamental science of the natural world. The study of physics and astronomy leads to a deeper appreciation and awareness of the world around us and serves as a basis for most other natural sciences and engineering.

Place Studies Program

The Place Studies Program seeks to foster academic engagement across social, scientific, and humanities disciplines, with regional human environments in ecological contexts. The intellectual goal of the PSI is to foster study of the Susquehanna Valley as an integrated landscape of human culture and nature, uniting perspectives of the humanities, social sciences, planning, community outreach, and creative expression, while engaging also the environmental sciences.
