Need-Based Scholarships

Bucknell is known for its academic excellence, the quality of its faculty and students, and the beauty of its campus and facilities. After evaluating these attributes of the university, many families recognize the benefit of investing in a Bucknell education. At the same time, there is often apprehension about the ability to meet college costs.

Financial aid is one of the most important segments of Bucknell's operating budget. As has been the recent history, Bucknell intends to have 45-55% of its entering class receiving institutional scholarship funds. At least 97% of these students will receive need-based scholarships.

Donors have the opportunity to name need-based scholarships. All Bucknell scholarships have an academic requirement and support the institution’s commitment to the providing the best undergraduate learning experience to the best and brightest students available.
