Bucknell Remembrances

I have always admired Bucknell’s resilience in the face of adversity. When I arrived on the campus as a freshman in 1934, the outlook was bleak. The nation was still in the grip of the most serious economic depression of the century. Our incoming class was the smallest in many years — “fit though few” we consoled ourselves.
