Social Life at Bucknell

You'll always find something to do at Bucknell. From all-campus functions, such as bands, casino nights, hypnotists, theme weekends, festivals, and formal dances to smaller programs such as coffeehouses, comedians, and movies, you'll find many social activities to choose from every weekend.

Each weekend, you'll dance to live bands and DJs at Bucknell's campus nonalcoholic nightspot, "Uptown." If you want something a little quieter, you can have a cup of coffee with your friends at the Seventh Street Café, which schedules live music on the weekends.

A weekend shuttle will take you to a nearby mall for shopping and movies on the weekends, or you can walk downtown to the Campus Theatre for a movie and popcorn.

Many students find their social life centers around club activities. For example, the Outing Club schedules weekend hikes and ski trips. Some of the multicultural and international organizations schedule trips to nearby restaurants or even head to New York City for weekend trips to museums and plays.
