During the years since I was a freshman in 1955, Bucknell has both changed and remained the same. The changes have been positive and many – the result being a significant increase in the breadth and quality of education, as well as an increase in the national prestige and reputation of Bucknell. Equally important, it seems to me, is what has remained the same – the warmth, beauty, character, friendliness, and architectural consistency of the campus. Faculty and staff have come and gone over the years, but these important qualities have endured.
