Allocating My Annual Fund Gift
Would you like your gift allocated to a particular need?Unrestricted annual gifts to the university are those given without any limitations on their use. Designated gifts, on the other hand, are earmarked for specific purposes, such as a gift to a single academic department or program. While Bucknell encourages unrestricted gifts to the Bucknell Fund, both kinds of annual gifts are needed. Unrestricted Gifts The Bucknell Fund: Designated for unrestricted gifts, supports all areas of the institution and allows the university to use the funds in areas where they are most needed. The university has designated this fund as the top priority for annual gifts. Designated Gifts Association for the Arts: Provides funds for visiting artists, musicians, poets, as well as need-based scholarships for students in the arts. The association supports programs that nurture and develop talent among students, reward excellence in established artists, and enrich the lives of the entire campus community. Gifts to the fund are used to support such programs as the annual Celebration of the Arts Weekend and the Focus Semesters, which provide artistic, musical, and academic programs on a different area of the world each semester. Engineering Fund: Provides needed support for the College of Engineering . The fund is used to help purchase equipment to keep Bucknell's labs current with rapidly changing technology, provide scholarships to students with need, and support faculty travel and professional development, as well as other operating expenses. Gifts are needed to maintain the college's ranking as one of the finest undergraduate engineering programs in the nation. Bison Club: Supports all 26 varsity sports at Bucknell. Gifts can be made to all sports or targeted to support a specific program.
