Facilities and Resources

Bucknell's Department of Geology owns or has ready access to many lab and field facilities. While much of our equipment is housed in the O'Leary Center (upper right photo) and the Carnegie Building, we value our relationships with other departments such as Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Biology and Engineering's Environmental Lab.  We share equipment and facilities with each other and find that it benefits both faculty and students and creates a professional environment to share ideas. In addition to our on-campus facilities, we have many off-campus facilities such as our Hydrogeophysical Well Field, the Montandon Wetlands, the Bucknell Natural Area, the Cowan Center and many other field trip locations where we conduct research and run lab exercises.

In the Fall, 2002, our department moved to a new state of the art teaching facility, the O'Leary Center. More information and photos of our new teaching facility can be viewed from the links below.
