Historic Relationship, Contemporary Challenge:The Burma-Bucknell Connection at 150 Years

Since 1858, the 150-year relationship between Bucknell and the people of Burma has grown into a rich and historic partnership - one which has brought many students from Burma to Bucknell including six current students. The Burma-Bucknell connection also established a precedent at the University for international education and global understanding. It is a connection that has transcended years of political turmoil in Burma, or Myanmar as it is called by the ruling military regime.
