Reserves

Reserves at Bucknell encompass both a traditional reserves system, which includes books, maps, movies, etc., as well as an electronic reserves system that provides online access to materials.

Electronic Reserves(ERes)

Bucknell uses ERes by Docutek to create electronic course web pages, making articles, book chapters, old exams, problem sets, and homework solutions available online.

Candace Hinckley (577-3249) maintains electronic reserves for Bucknell.

Faculty can drop off materials for scanning, send email attachments directly to ERes by using the eres@bucknell.edu address, or send URLs to this address for links to be made on the course pages, or faculty can manage their own pages by using the straightforward menus on the ERes pages. More information for faculty can be found on the Info for faculty pages.

Traditional Reserves(E-Res)

Mary Jean Moser (577-3287) manages the traditional reserves and oversees all aspects of placing books, films (videos and DVDs), personal copies, and unscannable items on hard copy reserve. The loan periods for these items range from one hour to overnight, and Bucknell students and staff can check material out with their IDs. The forms needed to place material on reserve are available below and they are also available at the desk.
