LEWISBURG, Pa. — Bucknell University will host its annual Parents Weekend Oct. 21 to 23. The following events are open to the local community:

Samek Art Gallery Exhibit Friday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. "The Louisiana Project," exhibit featuring video animation, painting, and collages by Carrie Mae Weems. Located on the top floor of the Elaine Langone Center, the gallery is accessible via elevator.

Theatre Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 8 p.m., Powers Theatre. "Sex, Lies, And … A Wedding," farces by Machiavelli and Brecht, directed by Gary Grant, $6, $4 for senior citizens. Advance tickets from Weis Center Campus Box Office weekdays 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. or by calling 577-1000.

Hilltop Film Series Friday 8 p.m. and Saturday 3 p.m., Trout Auditorium, Vaughan Literature Building. "The Shower," directed by Zhang Yang, China 1999.

Music Friday 8 p.m., Weis Center for Performing Arts: Bucknell University Jazz Band. Friday 9 p.m., and Saturday 9 p.m., Rooke Chapel: Christy's Candlelight Entertainment with Bucknell's student a cappella groups: the Silhouettes, Bison Chips, Two Past Midnight and Beyond Unison; admission $5. Saturday 7 p.m., Rooke Recital Hall: Meet-the-Artist Pre-Performance Chat with Members of the Aulos Ensemble. Saturday 8 p.m., Weis Center for the Performing Arts: Aulos Ensemble and Orchestra performing Handel's Water Music and other Baroque favorites; admission $20, tickets available at the Campus Box Office or by calling 577-1000.

Sports Friday 7 p.m., Davis Gym: women's volleyball vs. Navy. Saturday 1 p.m., stadium: football vs. Lehigh University. Saturday 1 p.m., Graham field: field hockey vs. Lafayette. Saturday 7 p.m., Davis Gym: women's volleyball vs. American. Saturday 7 p.m., varsity soccer field: men's soccer vs. Lehigh. Saturday, men's rowing vs. Fordham and Lehigh plus Annual Parents Boathouse Tour.

Open House Saturday 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.: Greenhouse, Biology Building, fourth level, (accessible via elevator). Saturday, 8 to 11 p.m.: Observatory: view the stars (weather permitting), tour the facility and listen to astronomy professor Ned Ladd give a short talk on recent astronomical results several times during the night. Open house will be held rain or shine.

Lewisburg Saturday 9 and 9:30 a.m.: Bucknell-themed tours of Packwood House Museum, 15 N. Water St. Tickets: $5 for Bucknell family members, $3 for students, children 12 and under free (pay at the entrance). Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.: "House Tour and Architectural Walk;" tickets: $10, available in downstairs lobby, Elaine Langone Center, or beginning at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the Union County Courthouse or Lewisburg Hotel; for information call 524-4071 or 524-4571.

Saturday noon to 4 p.m., Christy Mathewson-Memorial Stadium: "Bisonland Children's Area," including inflatable rides and activities. Sunday 8:30 a.m., Smith Quad.
