Applying to Summer Programs
There are two basic categories for summer programs: Bucknell "in" programs, which are led by Bucknell University faculty and non-Bucknell programs managed my third-party providers outside the University.
Bucknell "in" Programs:
Each "Bucknell in" program develops its own application process and timeline. Any student who is interested in attending a "Bucknell in" summer program should contact the program coordinator or attend a program information session.
Provider Programs:
Students interested in studying abroad with a third party provider must complete two applications and be approved to study abroad by Bucknell University and the Third Party Provider.
Bucknell Application: Complete the Bucknell Application for Approval to Study Off Campus- Summer each in to the Office of International Education by April 1.
Provider Application: Students must also complete a provider application for their individual program. For summer programs it is the student's responsibility to gather the appropriate application materials and send in their program application directly to the program provider.
When applying to summer programs it is important to pay close attention to the individual program deadlines. Deadlines for summer programs vary greatly among/within program providers and it is the student's responsibility to ensure program applications reach the provider prior to the deadline date.
