The Writing Center
The Writing Center is a place for students to work on their writing - to bring in their workinprogress and to talk about it with writing consultants. The consultants can help with all stages of the writing process, from developing an idea to revising drafts. They can be a ‘‘test audience’’ for academic writing in all disciplines, for creative writing such as poetry, as well as for personal writing, such as application essays or resumes. Both inexperienced and experienced undergraduate writers make use of the Center, as do graduate students, faculty and staff.
Students also go to the Writing Center to talk about how to study more effectively and to prepare and practice oral presentations. The Center welcomes international students who would like help with English as a second language. For further information on all services, visit the Writing Center in 100A Roberts Hall, or call 577-3141. Summer hours are limited. Please call 577-3141 regarding availability and to make an appointment.
