LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Bucknell Bison fell to the Villanova Wildcats 60-79 Tuesday night. But a sold-out Sojka Pavilion, the first ever, rocked loud and proud as the Bison hosted No. 4 Villanova, the highest ranked team to ever play at Bucknell.
The capacity crowd greeted Bucknell alum Jay Wright and his Wildcats, who had come to town for a battle of the unbeatens, with chants of `Ray Bucknell and a total "orange out" at both ends of the court.
Some hardy Bison fans were camped outside Sojka by noon Tuesday in snow and freezing temperatures to await the start of one of the most anticipated home games in Bucknell basketball history.
The Bison, now 5-1 overall, face Cornell next at Bucknell Saturday, Dec. 17.
