Susan L. Hopp, dean of students
The Deans of Students have frequent and close contact with many students. We support your academic experiences as well as your personal growth as students. Our responsibilities cover most areas outside the classroom, including new student orientation, residence hall and off-campus living, campus activities and organizations, fraternity and sorority affairs, student government, multicultural interests, community service, student leadership, wellness services, concerts and public lectures, and much more. We look forward to your involvement in our campus community.
Gerald Commerford, associate dean of students
Dean Commerford supports all student affairs functions and is responsible for student judicial affairs.
Kari Conrad, associate dean of students
Dean Conrad is responsible for the programs and services of the Office of Campus Activities and Programs advising the programming board, Activities and Campus Events (ACE), Bucknell Student Government, campus Uptown nightclub, L’Agenda Yearbook, Craft Center, and Building on Foundations pre-orientation program. She also serves as the university sexual assault judicial administrator.
Amy Badal, assistant dean of students
Dean Badal coordinates the New Student Orientation Program, student leadership programs, and community service initiatives. She is also responsible for the Bucknell Wilderness Experience pre-orientation program.
Daniel Remley, assistant dean of students
Dean Remley is responsible for the programs and services of the Office of Housing and Residential Life and the Residence Hall Association (RHA). He also assists students with disability concerns.
Chip Marrara, assistant dean of students
Dean Marrara is responsible for all aspects within the fraternity and sorority community, including chapter and governing council advertisement, housing, facilities management, finance, chapter programming and education, alumni relations, judicial, and special events. He is also responsible for the implementation of the Plan for Prominence, Bucknell’s chapter accreditation program.
